A Professional Mime and Physical Theater Workshop

A unique course for anyone who wants to learn the art of physical theater and Mimeq Pantomime:  A theater language without words, Dynamic, rich, comic, dramatic, poetic,

that allows stage artists to develop and enrich their work.

The workshop is especially suitable for actors, dancers, circus men and women, puppeteers, and clowns.

The workshop includes the Marcel Marceau and Etienne Decroux techniques / posture and physical presence/ illusion technique/ comic and dramatic acting/ comic timing and gags/ and creating individual and group pieces.

Participation is from age 18 or older.

The duration of the course is usually 8-12 sessions of 3.5 to 6 hours.

Physical Theater and Mime

A short workshop lasting 1.5 houres, to 5 hours:

Intended for students from the age of 6, students and adults studying theater, clowning, and dance,

This workshop teaches theater without words:  a rich, poetic, comic, dramatic expression on stage.

The workshop includes warm-up, technique, illusion technique, theater games without words, improvisation, and creation.

A professional course designed for stage people:

A professional course:  6-12 sessions, up to 50 study hours.

This course is for actors, dancers, circus performers, puppeteers, and clowns.

The workshop includes warm-up, technique, illusion technique, comic and dramatic acting, character creation, style, enlargement and dynamics in motion, comic gags, improvisation, writing pantomime pieces, and solo and group creation.

Lecture: Physical Comedy in Cinema and Theater

From the beginning (almost) until today

A lecture accompanied by a screening of films about physical theater and pantomime from the days of ancient Greece, until today.

The lecture includes : Chaplin, the film Children of Paradise, Buster Keaton, Pilobolus Momix, and Mummenschantz, Lucille Ball, James Thierree as well as my own work, from the last two decades.

The lecture describes the development of art and its effects on artists in different generations.

Lecture duration: up to two hours.
